Extract from the latest Australian Historical Association newsletter:

In this first newsletter for 2011, there are links to the AHA Regional Conference 2011 website and to the conference poster that can be downloaded and printed for departmental notice boards. The Australian Women’s History Forum is advertising both Women’s History Month with its theme of Women in the Business of Food, and International Women’s Day Events and in this newsletter there is a link to the new Australian Women’s History Network website.

At Stoke-on-Trent in November, the Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society is holding its conference: ‘Exporting Stoke and Beyond: Tiles and Architectural Ceramics in the World Context’ and in December, a conference entitled ‘Honour Killing across Culture and Time’ will be held at the Australian National University. There is information about a petition to support the Female Factory Precinct Action Group, with the aim of having the Parramatta Female Factory Precinct returned to the people of Australia.
