Tasmanians who identify as Aborigines and spent time in the welfare system can apply for reparations, while those of other races have no such access -- a blatant violation of the law in my view. I have a list of potential plaintiffs ready and waiting for any lawyer prepared to take up a cause whose potential dividends go well beyond mere money, as such a case could establish once and for all the iniquity of race-based discrimination.
