The Emperor Narcissus Turncoatius is feeling decidedly ill at ease --  not surprising, given his close call with the Plebian legions of Billious Shorticus. Now the Ay Bee Cees, Fair Faxes and other gelded courtiers are muttering that he might not be a god after all

Though still drenched in his predecessor's blood, the new emperor assumed an air of lofty nobility as his Praetorian guards, the Ay Beesees, joined with eunuch scribes and those adoring temple prostitutes, the Fair Faxes, to laud his magnificence. It was all very satisfactory
