Robbing Banks

A banker is a man who knows
Just how the money comes and goes.
He listens as the money hums.
It comes and goes but mostly comes
To nestle in his banker’s hat
Which makes him happy, rich and fat.
A banker has a bank and there
Is money in his special care.
So robbing banks will do the biz
Since banks are where the money is.

If banks are what you want to rob,
Now is the time to do the job.
The money’s piled on shelves and racks,
In safes and chests and bags and sacks,
Golden guineas, sovereigns,
Thalers and Napoleons,
All convenient to go.
When money talks it says, “Hallo!”
So fill your pockets, fill your boots.
Refuse inferior substitutes.

Hold fast to money. Money sings.
It buys you such impressive things,
As Aston Martins, silver plate,
Moated castles, real estate,
Lovely girls who sing and dance
At villas in the South of France,
Lovely boys, if that’s your pleasure,
Peace, enjoyment, love and leisure,
Business tie-ups with the Yanks,
Coronets and votes of thanks,
All achieved by robbing banks.

Robbing banks will always pay.
Let’s all rob a bank today.

  • Aboriginal Culture is Young, Not Ancient

To claim Aborigines have the world's oldest continuous culture is to misunderstand the meaning of culture, which continuously changes over time and location. For a culture not to change over time would be a reproach and certainly not a cause for celebration, for it would indicate that there had been no capacity to adapt. Clearly this has not been the case
