I Love the Way You Stand

I love the way you stand against the light.
Your silhouette that brings you in with wood
To warm with fire our sitting room at night.

And though our winter days are understood;
Have sunny skies, no rain, the nasty breeze,
Layering, by adding extra clothes should

Help us with shorter days to live, not freeze.
When the power, lighting, heated water,
Are turned off, you and I are all a-sneeze.

You write, complain of bills. They ought to
Reconsider thoughts on our late nights.
Take the nuclear option, next quarter.

We could endure a Global Cooling fight.
I love the way you stand against the light.

Clearly this has not been the case
