Katherine Spadaro: ‘Dying Insect’
Dying Insect
The bug is Irish-dancing. This view is strange:
(it has never rested on its back before)
but the kicking only makes the ceiling spin.
Its back and soft wings polish the table like a
broom for curling: it is both the sweeper and
the curling-stone. The ceiling slows for a moment,
then starts its rotation again. Surely, to pedal harder
will right the world! Franticness
can fix everything.
