On the train an apparition seats herself in front of me.
Golden hair flows over two perfect shoulders
and a single beauty-spot adorns a back
that would have Rodin fumbling for his chisel.
But old age has snared me in its web
and I realise I can never know that perfect body
with all its secrets waiting to be unlocked.
