A Fall

 begins the long slow slide

to ground, with time to measure

before found, a low horizon,

another’s willingness to be of service.

Hello the one way life,

hello the hill where Jack and Jill

came down

and London Bridge to water,

Humpty with his broken crown

which all Kings’ men and horses

could not mend.

Gravity begins

the change of role

to someone else

for looking after self,

to sate a tyrant body

that once could fly

once perfect for the task

now sadly

taken

from its height.

Clearly this has not been the case
