Notes from all over

John Whitehall has written extensively at Quadrant of the trans cult, its focus on children and the often heartbreaking consequences of “gender affirming care”. Now that the Olympics have  demonstrated how reality knocks gender theory into a cocked hat when a ‘transwoman’ athlete meets a biological woman in the ring, reader Simone writes to note a recent National Institute of Health study:

…Male physiology cannot be reformatted by estrogen therapy in transwoman athletes because testosterone has driven permanent effects through early life exposure. This descriptive critical review discusses the inherent male physiological advantages that lead to superior athletic performance and then addresses how estrogen therapy fails to create a female-like physiology in the male. Ultimately, the former male physiology of transwoman athletes provides them with a physiological advantage over the cis-female athlete.

Not that the mere biological fact is taken into account by those who prefer life as they imagine it — people like the bearded lady below, for instance, who will be an honoured speaker at next week’s Democratic Convention in Chicago.

Then again, those cheering for Kamala and Tim at the Windy City’s dog and pony show have a pronounced appetite for lies. Take this scripted ‘conversation’ between Harris and Walz, for example, deliberately and specifically promoting the impression that the Minnesota governor is just a cuddly Midwestern dad, not a Daniel Andrews-grade hard left tyrant who ordered his police during 2020’s BLM riots to blitz anyone found outside their homes with paintballs.

Quizzed about his appetite for spicy ethnic dishes, Walz professes humble, boring black pepper to be his most exotic seasoning. Just why Democrat spinners think a candidate with bland “white guy” tastes is a vote-winner is anyone’s guess, but they evidently believe it is a lie worth promoting.

And, yes, it is a flat-out lie as a readers’ note below this X item explains:

In 2016, then-Rep. Tim Walz grabbed first place at Sen. Al Franken’s sixth-annual “Hotdish Off”. The recipe was for “Turkey Taco Tot Hotdish”, which contains green chilis, taco sauce, & chili powder – all hotter than black pepper.

Try hunting for that item on the web and, if you’re doing a Google search, chances are the cyber-monster will bury it deep in the search results, anything but Left-favoured  items getting short shrift from the all-powerful algorithm. How do we know this? Well, Google has just deep-sixed mainstream conservative site Issues & Insights. Its offence, this recent editorial

From choosing carbon dioxide as the villain because it’s a convenient ‘leverage point’ for assuming ‘control over a society,’ as noted by retired Massachusetts Institute of Technology meteorology professor Richard Lindzen, to the effort to smear skeptics as ‘deniers,’ the entire global warming enterprise has been a Trojan horse hauled into society by fanatics who are more than willing to lie about ‘the science’ to advance their anti-capitalist, anti-freedom political agenda.

Over recent months, several Quadrant readers have expressed their frustration at being unable  to find via Google older articles they know we have published. One doesn’t need to be paranoid to grasp that, if you’re not of the Left, Google doesn’t want to know about you.

Fortunately, the US Supreme Court knows all about Google.
