A bad day from start to finish

Nostalgia burns the tongue and leaves a
bitter taste.
No more sweet days!
The sun fell and melted like ice cream,
covering my shoes and
pulling me in
like a swamp.
I cannot breathe—
eternal sleep
please eternal
sleep please.
Now
Yesterday and
Forever.

if you know what I mean…

I must let it out,
I have had no outlet for days,
it has been stirring in me like a stew,
a sickly yellow one
full of thoughts and feelings,
those that I cannot
or should not verbalise …
I know what is what objectively,
but the problem with life is
that it is too goddamn subjective!
I have given up on the old questions,
thankfully,
though new ones still sprout.
I know that if I can sit in this hellfire
very still,
my leash of freedom will extend even further
once I get home—
I think I feel better already,
now that I have spewed out this s—.
