The Iranian Foreign Minister’s visit to Australia is a sign the ­Islamic republic is serious about joining the community of respectable nations, Julie Bishop has declared, although the onus is still on Tehran to demonstrate it can be a responsible global player.

Meanwhile, back in the Islamic republic:

Iran has test-fired several missiles in the past two days that are believed to have the long-range capability to hit Israel, and at least one of rockets included a message in Hebrew that read, “Israel must be wiped out,” according to state media.
