Red Roses for Gaia

If you are reading this on a computer connected to a wall,  you’re probably not in South Australia.

The map above records electricity outages as of 9am, December 28. Those numbers represent customers, actual people whose freezers are defrosting, their lights gone dark and air-conditioning dead. In some places the roses are stacked twenty thick.
