Wonderful news, Zeg lives!

zeg small brainMany readers have written to inquire about Stephen Gunnell, otherwise known as Zeg and Quadrant Online’s resident cartoonist, who underwent brain surgery this month to remedy a condition that might, almost certainly would, have killed him. Well, the operation was a success and Zeg is on the road to a full recovery. Queen of his heart Bridget Cornwell supplies an update:

Zeg’s brain surgery was a complete success. No rehab required whatsoever. He has had the 40 staples removed from his forehead, said goodbye to the intensive care unit after only a few days and has come home to continue his recovery. We cannot thank Royal North Sydney Hospital and his surgeon,  the amazing Dr Asaad, enough. Zeg is determined to be back doing what he loves best as of next month.  Thanks, everyone, for your support and well wishes — Mrs Zeg.

Zeg’s take on his medical travails, of which the illustration atop this post is but a detail, can be viewed via the link below.
