Who would do
such a thing?

The Age, true to form, buries the lead in its coverage of the anti-Christian pogrom that has so far cost well over 200 lives in Sri Lanka:

Sri Lanka, situated off the southern tip of India, is about 70 per cent Buddhist. While there have been scattered incidents of anti-Christian harassment in recent years…

Harassment by whom? The Age recoils from the specific, although Agence France-Presse’s report that one of the suicide bombers went by name of  ‘Mohamed Mohamed’ might have been taken as a clue.

…there has been nothing on the scale of what happened on Sunday. There is also no history of violent Muslim militants in Sri Lanka.

Muslim violence elsewhere? Better not mention that. Readers might perceive a pattern of behaviour.

… tensions have been running high more recently between hard-line Buddhist monks and Muslims.

Ah-ha, so it’s those Buddhists who are the religious “hard-liners”! Odd, isn’t it, how “tensions” between Buddhist monks and Muslims somehow result in a massacre of Christians? The Age lets that one go through to the keeper. Meanwhile

Two Muslim groups in Sri Lanka condemned the church attacks

See, Religion of Peace etc etc — and don’t you ever forget it.

We must keep up the pressure on the leftist Establishment media, what they are doing is criminal and dangerous.

  • en passant says:

Islam is at war with the rest of the world, but our elites refuse to believe it because the solution is to horrible to contemplate. Even more horrible than a mere 250 dismembered bodies.
Where is Jacinta to advise them on how to disarm the populace?

  • Davidovich says:

There are about 2 million Muslims in Sri Lanka out of a total population of about 22 million people. To suggest, as The Age does, that there could not be jihadists among them beggars belief. The leftist media are demented and dangerous in their continued denial of Islamic terrorism and the threats to society.
