The Wholesale Banishment of Reasonable Doubt

Daniel Andrews wants ‘fully vaccinated’ redefined to require a booster. National cabinet didn’t go along last week. It will. And can a second booster — the fourth jab overall — be far behind? No, it can’t. Notice, too, that the interval between the second and third shot is now down to three months. Anyone for two months? Boosters for your five-year-olds anyone? Get one at your local 7-Eleven.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that Omicron is mild. Of that you have to be disabused with extreme frighteners. NSW health minister Brad Hazzard is on the job. “The numbers of boosters are not where we need them to be to keep people safe,” he said. Personally speaking, I think we need to be kept safe from Hypodermic Hazzard. Bar the doors and lock up your children.

In spruiking three doses, Andrews reportedly said, “We can all be proud, as a Victorian community, that 93 per cent-plus of us have had two doses.” Well, strictly speaking, Dan, only 93 percent-plus can be proud. The rest are mongrels with a penchant for disobeying orders; orders which, as you well know, must be obeyed or we’ll all die horribly.

There’s now a coronavirus unity ticket between NSW and Victoria. Perrottet in league with Despot Dan. Birds of a feather. What a disappointment Perrottet has turned out to be. Really, expectations of politicians of whatever complexion should be kept extremely low.

There, for example, is ex-IPA free-marketeer Tim Wilson the other day gifting $37 million of taxpayers’ dollars to yet another renewable-energy boondoggle. If they’re not boondoggles, why do they need handouts? How about another $1 billion to save an extremely healthy reef. Money’s no object. And just think. It’s never so bad that it can’t get worse. Albanese and Adam Bandt are lurking in the wings, stage left.

Enough of this rhetorical stuff. To vaccine data and the UK, where the data is better than can be obtained here or in the US. Up to a point, it’s comprehensive, up-to-date, and trustworthy, I think. Mind you, best to ignore the surrounding spiel, that’s skewed by the agenda.

The UK Health Security Agency issued its latest report on January 27, covering the four-week period from the last week in December to the end of the third week in January. A number of data points of interest below.

It is reported (in table 3) that the effectiveness of two doses of the vaccine, after 25-plus weeks, against symptomatic disease from the Omicron strain (the original not the new twist) lies between seven and ten per cent. In other words, close to zilch. Not materially effective at all.

Is also reported that after two-plus weeks, three doses are 63 percent effective. Sounds good. However, I ponder sceptically, how about after 25 weeks? Of course, they don’t have sufficient data to say. I’ll predict. Ineffective too. Else why are the Israelis onto number four?

It’s all becoming a circus. Can most of the people be fooled and frightened by hobgoblins all of the time? Yes, they can. Look around you at your willingly masked fellow men and women rushing for boosters.

Other interesting data for the four-week period (in Table 11). Of those aged sixty-plus hospitalised in emergency care within 28 days of a positive specimen, 1,873 had received two doses (22%), 5,119 three doses (60%); while, in comparison, the unvaccinated numbered just 1,292 (15%). And, by the way, the older the patients, the more skewed the data. Of those aged 70-plus, over 64 per cent were triple vaccinated; of those aged 80-plus, 66 per cent were triple vaccinated.

You can explain this data all you like. And, yes, we know the official explanation. A high proportion of people have been vaccinated so you’d expect more of them to be in hospital and to die. But so many? Seriously folks, of 8,516 people aged 60-plus brought into emergency care, would you expect that 5,119 were triple-vaccinated? Questions would be asked, surely, if the infectious disease were not the dreaded Wuhan virus and the vaccines hadn’t become sacrosanct; and medicos cancelled for questioning them.

Note also the absence of any useful interrogation of the data; at least any made public. For example, among the older unvaccinated, it seems plausible that there is a significant cohort who think themselves too frail to have the vaccine. They end up in hospital but would have been there vaccinated or not. This is really important to understand.

At one extreme, it could potentially show that the vaccines are ineffective in protecting those vulnerable to the virus; or least protecting them for very long. To wit, maybe the old and very sick succumb to severe illness and often death whether vaccinated or not. That doesn’t seem like an impossible hypothesis to me. Let me put it this way, how many people particularly vulnerable to the virus, those aged, say, seventy-plus with three or four comorbidities, has the vaccine saved? And, are being saved right now from Omicron?

Cut to the chase. Suppose you’re an 85-year-old obese diabetic with high blood pressure and a dicky ticker who comes into contact with the Omicron. Will the vaccine confer benefit? How much benefit? A detailed profiling of those infected by their age, health condition, vaccination status and outcome might be enlightening. I’m whistling Dixie.

The vaccines and multiple boosters of them are inviolate. Too much political capital has been invested in them to ever have them doubted. Imagine how silly Andrews, Perrottet, Hazzard, et al, and their counterparts overseas, would look. Unthinkable.

PS: Go Canadian truckers!

APPARENTLY THE RULES ARE STRICTER FOR COWS.
    .
    From David Archibald
    .
In 2010, German scientists found that a Pfizer veterinary vaccine, Pregsure, to reduce diarrhoea in cows caused a fatal bleeding disease in their calves. Even after pressure from Germany caused Pfizer to stop selling the vaccine there, the company kept selling it elsewhere.
    .
A top Pfizer official told British farmers it was safe to use and that “other factors” were likely involved. A month later, Pfizer stopped selling the vaccine. European regulators later found it caused a 1-in-6000 risk of the bleeding disease. “For a prophylactic measure such as vaccination this figure was considered unacceptable for a potentially fatal disorder,” the regulators found.
    .
The risk of Covid-vaccine induced myocarditis – which can be fatal – in young men is now estimated at somewhere between 1 in 2000 and 1 in 3000. Apparently the rules are stricter for cows.

We’ve been vaccinated with vaccines rigorously tested for years before being widely used, and proven effective against being infected and free of negative side effects.
COVID vaccines have not, can’t have been in the short time-frame.

Socialism. It’s here, we’re breathing it. The West has fallen in upon itself, or fallen on its own humanist sword if you like. Without God there is no Reason.
Lying Lord Dom, if he ever intended to stand up to health totalitarianism (which is unlikely), is now simply aboard the power-crazed, utopian bandwagon. The government will save us from everything, including viruses that aren’t going to hurt us anyway. Now that’s real magic. Lord Dom is fully on-message with the covid terror, just as he is with the windmill crazies. Utopia is upon us.

Peter, why can’t you stop this misinformation that you peddle on Quadrant online.
The data source that you quote shows very clearly that death from Covid is at least 10 – 20 times greater risk for the unvaccinated versus those fully vaccinated. No doubt your small band of followers read every “blackfishing” sit available on line, and refuse to look at UK HSA Surveilance reports and equally good NSW Health Covic Surveillance reports.
These long-winded anti-vax rants are an embarrassment to Quadrant Online, which expects some adherence to truth in its submissions.

Here in the hermit kingdom of the West, a grim-faced St Mark is determined to continue protecting the citizens from the Wu Flu which, Mr M believes, is as deadly as the Black Death. Today is the start of new regulations to punish those obstinate people who refuse the life-saving vaccines. According to this morning’s West Australian, the unvaccinated are locked out of “hospitality and entertainment venues, gyms, hospitals and bottle shops”. Anyone who argues with businesses asking for proof of vaccination could be jailed for a year, or fined up to $50,000. Businesses which fail to comply with the vaccine passport scheme could be fined up to $250,000. Furthermore, Mr M warned Sandgropers that “proof of vaccination requirements would potentially remain for years”. It is obvious to Mr M that draconian measures are necessary: WA recorded 20 new cases on Sunday, which will overwhelm the State’s health system.

The only light that I can see on the horizon is that Mr M’s support is declining rapidly. There have been some disrespectful editorials in the West Australian, whose editor is now allowing letters critical of Mark to be published. However, WA will remain a one party state until the next election, due in 2025.

I have a dream: Mr M loses the next election, or is deposed by his own party, and finds employment in a government department responsible for collecting money for dog licenses, a task for which he, a petty bureaucrat promoted past his competence, is ideally suited.

We are using 3 COVID-19 vaccines in our national vaccine rollout:
    1. Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca)
    2. Comirnaty (Pfizer)
    3. Spikevax (Moderna)
    .
These vaccines will protect you from getting severely ill or dying if you get COVID-19.

If 90% of the population is vaccinated then wouldn’t the correct way to test if the unvaxxed represent a greater risk of hospitalization and death require that base number be equalized?
I have insufficient knowledge of statistics to know how this might be done other than dividing the 90% by 9 to give a common base.
Can anyone correct me please or explain?
I won’t be taking the third dose, I am 60 healthy and without comorbidities, my ole mum just cracked it for 80 yesterday, she had polio as a kid and is riddled with issues, I couldn’t encourage her enough.

In the face of all the evidence that highly vaccinated populations continue to contract, transmit and die from COVID, he is still the caricature of a completely vanquished lonesome head lying on the ground spouting meaningless dribble – like the arbitrary 10 – 20 times figure he quotes above. It is a real eye opener to see that some people suffer such a degree of cognitive dissonance that they cannot see the forest for the trees. That they are so wedded to an authoritarian narrative that anything else threatens their sense of order due to their inability to conduct critical thinking and renders them prostrate with an intellectually disabling anxiety. P.S. What is ‘fully vaccinated’ seagull – wasn’t that 2 shots? And if its not 2 shots anymore, why might that be? You may find some clarity in the answer to that question, but I won’t hold my breath.

Commiserations from a fellow-inmate, Arthur B. Our family will be affected by this discrimination far less than most: we don’t drink, we don’t use gymns (for now, it is still legal for my dad to run on the road); and we rarely get anything other than takeaway. But it still rankles that, today, it would be “illegal” for us to sit down in the Dome where we “safely” ate two days ago (while we still could).
The cafe where Mum gets a coffee on her weekly shopping days has a new manager today. The owner will not get the jabs (I’m not sure how she kept working there, as long as she did). A relative who works there is now running the place. The owner has a mask exemption, herself; but she had not been enforcing mask-wearing for her workers. Some dirty sneak turned them in, and on Friday the owner was the only one ungagged (not counting a number of customers!).
Again, some of us are affected little, ourselves. This cafe owner is just one reason to never, EVER, accept this thieving, murderous, ungodly system as the “new normal.”

Arthur and Rebekah, I too am trapped in WA. And like Rebekah, I rarely visit cafes, theatres, gyms, etc, etc, etc. My wife is a big Eagles fan, so she will be a bit sad about missing the footy matches, Today I rode my bicycle to Canning Bridge railway station, hopped on the train, and then rode from the Mandurah station out to my beach house in Falcon to water the gardens. And then home again, travelling reverse order. No problems at all with the trains, so that is a relief. I was somewhat shocked to hear from my sister who belongs to a walking group. The group took a vote on whether or not to allow an unvaxxed person to participate in the group, and amazingly they voted to disallow the two people in the group who had declined the vaccination. My sister was a bit shocked by the decision as well, as she has been vaxxed, not for health reasons, but just to be able to visit our mother in her home. I said to my sister that the two lepers shouldn’t be too worried, as unvaxxed walking groups, as with lots of other pursuits, will spring up in no time at all.

From the Table 11 that PS referenced (I’ve not waded through the report to find the data to analyse deaths, but Seagull/seagull’s range of 10-20 times is ridiculously wide). This should show the way to analyse death data if similarly reported.
    .
There are 16,294 cases presented to emergency care with the criteria specified.
    .
210 were “Unlinked” = unknown vaccine status
    .
    Thus 16,084 known vaccine status
    .
Of the 16,084, 4,807 were unvaccinated and 11,277 vaccinated under 4 categories, with 93% of those 11,277 in the qualified categories of 2 or 3 doses.
    .
Taking your figure of 90% vaccinated means 10% are unvaccinated. About what the commonly reported UK figure is.
    .
If the 16,084 were homogenous other than vaccinated/unvaccinated, then we would expect the 16,084 to be split about 90/10, viz 14,476 vaccinated and 1,608 unvaccinated.
    ,
So, unvaccinated are over-represented by a factor of 4807/1608 =3.0. Very significant (I’m not going to estimate margin of error as, inter alia, I have no idea of the possible errors in the Table 11 data, just present a basic analysis assuming they are accurate).
    .
I’ll go back to my qualification re homogeneity by way of example: Years ago when the efficacy of helmets for bicycle riders was being “debated”, it was pretty well established empirically that helmeted riders rode less carefully (and it made sense to me that feeling better protected they would take more risks, but then I’m a Gambler, not a Shrink). So maybe there is some other difference(s) between the vaccinated/unvaccinated groups, like the vaccinated are scared witless of COVID and avoid situations the unvaccinated don’t, but I have no idea (Gambler, not Shrink).
    .
If we ignore the Under 18 data, where the vast majority are unvaccinated, the over-representation of unvaccinated drops to 3210/1433 = 2.4, still very significant.
    .
Further I have no idea of the accuracy of the Table 11 data, just present a basic analysis.

Only just seen seagull’s comment. Been at the gym. Legal for me in NSW despite being “unclean.”
Don’t know where the 10 to 20 times comes from exactly. But I imagine it’s from Table 13 which shows deaths per 100,000 among the unvaccinated versus the vaccinated. There is a wide disparity. E.g., among those aged 70-79 the comparison is 8.4 per 100,000 to 93.2 per 100,000. I did look a the table when I downloaded the report. However, vaccinated is defined as three or more doses. There are no figures for those who’ve had only two doses. It seems to me that the figures are useless at this stage. Insufficient time has elapsed to assess the protection offered by three doses. As I said in my piece, if Isreal is a guide the third dose will shortly run out of puff. As well, as I also said, we really need to know much more about the profile of the populations of the unvaccinated and triple-dosed to form reliable conclusions.

What once would have been a private matter of informed medical consent between an individual and their doctor and/or family is now a public spectacle. Today I was made to take a work meeting outside, in the 30+ heat, while wearing a mask, so some members of the group “felt safe”. There’s a sense that people are trying to one-up each other in their displays of safety-ism. Yet there continues to be no conversation around individual responsibility – no suggestion that anyone try to get fit, address Vitamin D deficiency, improve their diet, etc. It’s like living in one of those Alfies Lunchtime cartoons. Peter the stats on their own are meaningless anyway. It could be a simple case of many of the unvaccinated being too frail to get the jab. ABS reports in the 10 months from January 1st to October 31st 2021, there have been an extra 5,418 deaths in Australia compared to the 2015-19 average and 5,000 increased deaths on 2020.
Cardiovascular, respiratory, cerebrovascular deaths all dropped, with a 6% increase in cancer deaths, 8.8% increase in diabetes deaths, and a 13.6% increase in Alzheimer’s deaths over the 2015-19 average. Though cause has not been established, empirical evidence would suggest lockdowns and limitations on healthy lifestyle may well be at least partly responsible.

  • seagull says:

    Dear Peter,
I tried to post the references to the latest UK and NSW Covid surveillance reports, but my post was not uploaded. One cannot post tables in comments, so it is necessary to make a summary. Yes, Table 13 of the UK Report gives the data to work out the relative risk of severe disease (ICU admission or death.) These reports contain definitions of the terms used.

Table 6 of the NSW report gives the similar data. For Covid infections diagnosed between 26 November 2021 and 8 January 2022 in those patients over 50 years a severe outcome (ICU or death) for “no effective doses” was seen in 8% of persons, and in “two effective doses” a severe outcome was seen in 0.4%. This is a 20-fold difference. Even confining the comparison to ages 50 – 79 years, the result is virtually the same.

But you have missed the whole point of the public health measures (with all their flaws and inconveniences), intended to slow the spread of Covid. The problem to be addressed is the effect on hospitals. Infectious patients require isolation, and this doubles the trained staff needed for hospital wards, emergency departments and ICU units.
This manpower effect is further aggravated by staff needing to isolate if they test positive to the regular test that they must take. And their spouse and children must also isolate at home. Think about the situation where the spouse is the main breadwinner, and the health worker (say, a nurse) is part time. The economic cost for them is too great, so the health worker opts out of the workforce.
Hence the anxious hope that the Covid epidemic may have peaked as vaccination reaches 93%. The high prevalence of Covid in the community means that the epidemic will continue until the whole population have some degree of immunity to respond to a Covid infection, which is sensitised T Cells that respond to limit the Covid infection to a mild illness. For those still unvaccinated, getting a Covid infection is a much more risky way to get immunity compared to vaccination.

Here are the raw numbers from the most recent published NSW Covid 19 Surveillance report ending 08JAN2022.

Hospitalisations : Fully Vax (n=1347), No Effective Doses (n= 64).
    ICU Admissions: Fully Vax (n= 111), No Effective Doses (n = 13).
Deaths: Fully Vax (n= 45), No Effective Doses (n= 14)

So other than the deaths stats at the time of the report which have a reporting time lag (and hence this number will upswing for the fully vaccinated in the upcoming reports) the proportionate numbers of hospital admissions and ICU admissions is roughly equivalent to those who are either vaccinated or unvaccinated. It would appear the only misinformation about the unquestioning utility of the vaccines is promulgated here by seagull. As the title says: The Wholesale Banishment of Reasonable Doubt.

  • PT says:

The stats also depend upon the timeframe of the collection. If they are just totals since the start of the epidemic then the cases for the first year or more were unvaxed as the vaccines were still in development. It’s only meaningful to compare real rates between vaccinated and unvaccinated populations where the strains are the same. The absence of such data indicates to me that the vaccines simply aren’t that effective.

  • Geoff Sherrington says:

Seagull is correct within the constraints of his analysis, but his/her point is now of little relevance. This is because Seagull’s numbers relate to the Delta variant of Covid-19, which by today has almost certainly been displaced by the Omicron BA.1. and BA.2 variants which are far, far less pathogenic.
What matters now is whether it is better to get sick with BA.2. and gain a natural immunity or avoid illness through measures like vaccination and isolation, the latter being now less effective because BA.2. is much more transmissible than (say) Delta was.
Vaccination history no longer matters much in the BA.2. era. Future emphasis should be on testing of the population for evidence of past Covid-19 infection (hence future immunity) so that vaccinations are not given to the immune.
Political measures like punishments for being unvaccinated no longer have much relevance. Vaxxed or not, most people will get BA.2. and its immunity in the next 2 months, whatever synthetic measures are applied.
That said, past vaccinations have effectively reduced hospitalisation and death, but at an offsetting cost yet to be estimated because that takes more time.
BA.2. is the game changer. The political response should recognise this and make it clear that politicians should now largely bow out, unless there is another, more dangerous variant. There might well be a case for no more “free” RAT kits, no more tests like PCR, no more vaccines to purchase, no more Boosters, no more masks, no more investment in domestic vaccination-making factories.

Meanwhile in heavily Jabbed countries like Israel, things just continue to get worse.

“Israel’s daily COVID-19 cases reach record 83,653,” says Wednesday’s news wire.

“COVID-19 in Israel: Serious cases increase tenfold in span of a month, continue to rise,” announces a recent headline from the Jerusalem Post.

Elsewhere we learn that Israel’s positive test rate is a staggering 29.63 percent. This means that nearly one third of all Covid tests taken by Israelis are coming back positive.

Israel is obviously a country in deep Covid trouble with the SARS-CoV-2 virus running out of control in that nation.

Revealingly, Israel happens to be one of the most heavily vaccinated countries in the world. Some 80 percent of its adult population have been double vaccinated and some 55 percent have received a booster.

Even though Israel’s population is heavily vaccinated and boostered, the country is posting unprecedented case numbers. On January 25, Israel reported over 101,905 cases which is more than 10 times its pre-vaccination high. In other words, now that the Israeli people have been mass injected with the mRNA vaccines, their cases have gone up by more than 1000 percent.

Neither has the heavy vaccine coverage reduced the incidence of serious Covid. Last week, Israel’s weekly Covid hospital admissions reached a record which exceeded the country’s pre-vaccine high by nearly two hundred percent.

At the beginning of the worldwide vaccination crusade the vaccinators and their collaborators told us that the Covid vaccines were highly effective. The figures bandied about were 94 to 95 percent.

If this were even remotely true, Israel would have triumphed over Covid months ago.

Instead we get this headline: Highly vaccinated Israel has the most COVID-19 cases per capita in the world.

After more than a year of frenzied injectioneering, Israel’s numbers are worse than ever. Not only have the vaccines not conquered Covid, they have made the situation worse.

Israel’s plight mirrors that of other highly vaccinated countries that have also experienced record-breaking case numbers.

On another subject, surely there will always be a question mark over the result of the Australian Open 2022. Whether or not they are willing to admit it, many people will always wonder if Djokovic would have won it, had he not been the victim of our tyrannical, vaccines-are-not-mandatory-in-Australia government. This is unfair on Nadal, too; had Djokovic been able to play, Nadal might still have become (in theory) the best player in the world. But he might not have. And we’ll never know, will we?

  • Phillip says:

Seagull if you keep on pumping that chemical syrup into your body you’ll contract AIDS. You appear to be displaying some early symptoms.
Rebekah, if you secretly inject yourself with some experimental syrup and then play tennis is that not taking advantage via some performance enhancing drug? I’m bewildered as to why Scott Morrison did not present the trophy to Nadal, as the outcome has been the first politically inspired (rigged) truth of the Morrison tenure.

Rod.Stuart, You clearly have not bothered to read the references that I have given. You prefer yet another fake news site. You overlook the basic factor that vaccinated persons are now more than 20 times the number of unvaccinated persons.
But even worse you have no regard for the work done in hospitals and ICU units to try to keep (the predominantly) unvaccinated people alive. How irresponsible and selfish you must be. I don’t mind your abuse, but a small detail – seagulls don’t squawrk – they wail.

  • Citizen Kane says:

seagulls also have small brains, are scavengers feeding off the scraps of others and amass in large flocks behaving much liked feathered sheep. With 93% of Australia’s eligible population now double vaccinated it is a mathematical impossibility for ‘…the basic factor that vaccinated persons are now more than 20 times the number of unvaccinated persons.’ But even leaving this school boy error aside the latest NSW statistics on ICU admissions (as stated in an earlier post) is almost 10 times the number of fully vaccinated people in ICU compared to unvaccinated, making a complete lie of seagulls claim. Nothing is more immoral than perpetuating the lie of the failed policies on COVID (lockdowns etc) thereby prolonging the suffering of whole populations health, wellbeing and access to basic freedoms. Australia has now had two consecutive years of excess mortality of around 5000 people per annum perishing as collateral damage to seagulls so called morality. Just like Trudeau who has now contracted COVID, having been triple vaccinated not making a bit of difference, his only message to his disciples in the wake of his diagnosis was get vaccinated. Trudeau is young and fit and unlikely to suffer significant morbidity from COVID whether vaccinated or not. Like I said at the outset, these characters are straight out of Monty Python’s Holy Grail – it is cognitive dissonance writ large.

It’s the excess deaths, over and above the average that strikes a cord with me. The lock downs, and anxiety put about, that I detect in nearly everyone I know and come into contact with , and most importantly, the determination in many, many people to restrict their freedom of breathing, with tightly fitting masks, right up to their eyes, all the time they are outdoors. Some people appear so fearful I can imagine them frantically fitting on tightly their mask, the very moment they step outside the door….on their own. This has to have had an effect on overall health and well being. It just has to, and the empirical and historical evidence going back to 1919 has shown that when it comes to tiny nano particles like a virus, no mask capable of allowing any survival breathing can be effective, and additionally & most importantly…safe. I would sheet home the mandatory mask wearing as the most damaging lasting imposition on us all that they’ve come up. The sight of people getting around all muzzled, almost like dangerous dogs, and the degree of obedience and servility hammered into them to do so, is going to be a bad legacy of this whole rotten business…. in my mind.

    From: msn.com/en-us/health/medical/children-should-not-be-forced-to-wear-masks-due-to-co2-levels-new-study-suggests/ar-AALFKTk
“The results found an average of 13,120 (girls) and 13,910 (boys) parts per million of carbon dioxide in the air inhaled by children while wearing surgical and filtering masks, respectively,” the report said. “Under German law, the carbon dioxide contents of a closed room cannot exceed 2000 ppm, more than six times less than the masked children were inhaling.”
    .
    Personal experiment:
I attached an Oximeter and registered a healthy SpO2 of 98, put a mask on and watched it steadily drop to 92, indicating hypoxemia, a dangerous consequence of oxygen deprivation caused by the mask.

I have read all the comments here and the one thing that baffles me is why ANY double or tripled vaxxed people are in hospital or dying. My grandson who has lived with us since he was eight months old is fully vaxxed for all the childhood diseases. He has not caught any of them so the vaccines works. Polio is all but wiped out world wide because of the polio vaccine and only those who have not been vaccinated have caught the disease. Enter Covid and it does not matter how many shots you take you can still get it and pass it on so those vaccines are useless. Even though they are useless the government still refuses to allow treatment that works using off label medications. Are they engaged in a campaign to reduce the number of people requiring medical treatment? It does seem they are totally irresponsible and are creating far more problems than they are solving and we are the bunnies who will get the bill..

  • Phillip says:

    Laurie Ayres, totally agree.
The reason why the ‘vaccinated’ are dying at a 7:3 rate more than the unvaxxed is because the chemical fauci syrup is poison that destroys the bodies natural immune characteristics and replaces it with chemicals and graphene. A younger healthier body maybe able to sustain this bodily impact, the older people cannot because wear and tear known as old age don’t help.
The ‘vaccines’ are poison which promote AIDS because the ‘vaccine’ destroys your natural immunity. It may take the body (if fit healthy and young) many months to recover back to the natural state. The secondary issue is the unnecessary sprawl of spike proteins in other body organs which may lead to further complications.
The government used to promote a “Life, Be In It” campaign to emphasise the need for living healthy and eating healthy.
The evil today promotes fear and punishment rather than marketing good diets and lifestyles to embrace natural immunity.
The fauci ‘vaccines’ are not necessary and the socialist mandates are driven by the power hungry politicians with minimal intellect and foresight.

    https://constitutionwatch.com.au/covid-19-deaths-are-rising-sharply-in-australia-and-official-data-shows-the-fully-vaccinated-account-for-4-in-every-5-of-them/

RS, not sure about the Constitution Watch logic.
The author refers to pages 7 and 8 of the NSW government report. Yet that report does not support the graphs it created, nor the conclusions drawn.

From a statistical view point, what the NSW government data actually shows (page 7 of the report) is that when compared to vaccinated people, unvaccinated people are:
9 times more likely to be hospitalized
15 times more likely to be in ICU
6 times more likely to die

Yet the author seems to draw a totally different conclusion from the same report, and page 8 is not just deaths, its “severe outcomes (ICU and/or death)”, so the data does not add weight to the conclusions.

The author’s argument is like saying: we dressed 8 out of 10 soldiers in green camouflage shirts, and 2 out of 10 in red shirts, and when they ran in front of the machine gun, 80% of deaths were green shirts.

Yet for him the data suggests you are more likely to die if you are wearing a green camo shirt and therefore they do not protect you, even though statistically almost 100% of the red shirts would have died.

  • Citizen Kane says:

Alice, the NSW COVID 19 Surveillance Report you refer to via the Constitution Watch link is now outdated. The most up to date report can be found here: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Documents/covid-19-surveillance-report-20220201.pdf
It reveals your analysis to now be obsolete. Data spanning from 26NOV21 to 15JAN22 demonstrates that individuals with either 3 jabs, 2 jabs or no jabs, are all (within 0.4% of overall cases in there respective vaccination status categories ) equally likely to be hospitalised, in ICU or Die from COVID. In terms of raw numbers, the Constitution Watch claim that 4 in 5 deaths are double or triple jabbed is correct even as it it relates to the previous now superseded report and remains equally true of the current report. Add to this that Australia currently has the worst death per capita statistics in the Asia/Pacific region in a population 93% double vaccinated demonstrates every day that passes is proving damning to the efficacy of these vaccines.

Synopsis of Cory Bernadi’s column today:
    .
In the United Kingdom (UK) there have been an estimated 178,488 deaths attributed to COVID.
    .
The UK Office for National Statistic (ONS) received a request for more specific data under Freedom of Information (FOI) laws:
    ****
Please supply deaths caused solely by Covid 19, where Covid is the only cause of death listed on the death certificate, broken down by age group and gender between Feb 2020 up to and including Dec 2021.
    ****
There are just 6183 deaths where COVID is the only cause listed on the death certificate and 4035 of them ( 66%) were in people aged over 75.
    .
    6183/178488 = 3.5%

The rest of your comments made some sense and mention some of the issues to be taken into the balance.
    .
Another issue is what proportion of the total vaccinated population has ended up in hospital, ICU, dead. That then has to be compared with the proportion of the total unvaccinated population.

It is not sufficient to be merely talking proportions of those PCR positive tested.

I may have been wrong to say ad hominem attacks belong in polemics. They don’t belong in any civilised debate.

  • Citizen Kane says:

Ha that is rich! After a year of demonizing and stigmatizing a whole portion of he Australian community for their personal choice on what is injected into them, proponents of this view are now sanctimonious in their denouncement of ad hominem attacks. We must live in a highly uncivilised nation because day in day out, ad hominem polemic attacks against the ‘antivaxers’ (most of who are multiply vaccinated over a lifetime) have featured directly from our politicians, media, commentators, the community at large en masse, culminating, symbolically at least, in those same proponents outrageous treatment of Novak Djokovic. Now that the empirical foundations of there self righteousness are crumbling all around them they cry foul of the scorn they so richly deserve for their illiberal and totalitarian treatment of their fellow humans – that’s what I call an uncivilised society!
