Murdoch gives you cancer

Catch Paul Barry and Media Watch last night? Professor Sinclair Davidson certainly did and his analysis of the show’s item on tobacco, plain packaging and the alleged reportial errors of The Australian‘s Christian Kerr makes compelling reading.

Mind you, Davidson’s critique is nowhere near as much fun as Barry’s passing allusion to an apparent conspiracy being mounted by Kerr, Rupert Murdoch and the Institute of Public Affairs to blacken Australians’ lungs.
