Lyn Ashcroft Polyphony of Life     Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s perception that “life isn’t pushed back into a single dimension, but is kept multidimensional, polyphonic” and, particularly, his belief in the metaphorical and the spiritual significance of music, can be applied to the analysis and understanding of poetry. The work of these three poets, Richard James Allen (born 1960), Joe Dolce (born 1947) and Oisin Breen (born 1985), can usefully be considered from this perspective.
