Display The flowering tree has a botanical descriptor that should be on Tinder: “Leaves, palmately compound: leaflets—elliptic, pointed ends; trunk—bark rough, furrowed, grey. Flowers: pink, showy. Inflorescence: terminal and axillary corymbs. Fruits: dark-brown, cigar-like capsules.’ The desirability is in the details, personified and zooming in, ultra close and personal. It makes me want to cosy up. The tree is called a Rosy Trumpet Tree. And its flowering heralds the coming of the warmer days. Which seem more luscious, and more necessary to recognize this year.
