Platypus

Platypus   Platypi occupy Bombala river flats, a monotreme extreme enough to qualify for this odd land, a mix of mammal, duck and beaver weaver of the muddy bed, disguised as what it’s not, paddled, spurred spread eagled in between water and the sky, a tiny two-bump croc but with a kinder eye, smaller than its reputation slighter than imagination makes it, humps and dives from rings that spread to not be here, to secrecy instead.   Nana Ollerenshaw
