Can Poland and Russia Get Along at Last?

 Poland’s presidential elections which concluded on July 4 were brought on by the air disaster near Smolensk on April 10, in which ninety-six died, including the Polish president Lech Kaczynski and many other members of the Polish political and military elite. Also on the plane were representatives of the families of victims of the mass shooting in 1940 at Katyn and elsewhere in the Soviet Union of some 22,000 Polish officers by the NKVD secret police.
