A Few Thoughts   I never suggest an optimistic viewpoint unless there’s a pessimistic person present whom I wish to annoy.   Old problems constantly find themselves in new circumstances—not seeing this is what allows us to revere and tenderly care for our problems as they age.   Make the most of life; you’re paying for it with your life.   Calm down; you’ll never have a chance to practice patience in this context again.   I’d rather have the hangover first, but we all know that’s not how it works; pleasures followed by pain are never as pleasurable as…
