stand chart smallSenator-elect David Leyonhjelm is about to get an expanded education, especially in the ways of the Canberra press. As the Senate’s sole Liberal Democrat and its only avowed libertarian, he’ll be such an oddity when  sworn in that existing media templates won’t quite fit. Indeed, those in the pews where personal liberty is thought best restrained by the state, will have similar trouble accepting Leyonhjelm as a bona fide member of conservatism’s broad church.

Not that Leyonhjelm is terribly concerned. If people are confused about what he represents, and what he hopes to achieve over the next six years, this quick test may well help them finding their bearings.
