Left win literary award – again

Left writer Richard Flanagan published a wild, environmentalist diatribe called “Out of Control” in The Monthly.

The Monthly is a Left magazine owned by millionaire property developer Morrie Schwartz.

Richard Flanagan’s wild, environmentalist diatribe called “Out of Control” won the $15,000 John Curtin Prize for Journalism in the 2008 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.

Commending Richard Flanagan’s wild, environmentalist diatribe called “Out of Control” the Left judges of the John Curtin Prize for Journalism wrote: “This is a wonderful piece of advocacy journalism with no pretence at ‘balance’.”

Richard Flanagan has never written a balanced, incisive account of Melbourne property developers which, oddly enough, is a topic never examined by any of The Monthly’s advocacy journalists.

Writers for The Monthly are well paid.

And people say the Left don’t have a sense of humour.

I thought you might like to know.
