He’ll be gone as of mid-2016, but the ABC’s managing director may well have set the standard for his successors’ conduct and performance. While that might strike many as a rather low bar, newly appointed Communications Minister Mitch Fifield is a huge fan. The SMH reports:

Mark Scott has been a “terrific” managing director of the ABC and his successor should be “endlessly curious and endlessly inquiring”, according to the new Communications Minister.

Yes, he really did say that.
