“The sacred brain, and not the heart of Jesus …”
The sacred brain, and not the heart of Jesus,
Is what I am devoted to; that mind
Displaying a divine judiciousness
And perspicuity; that can unwind
Whatever humans have tied into knots
That they cannot get out; that mind that reads
The minds of others, knows their inner thoughts
I value more than all the blood he bleeds
Out of that heart that some have turned into
The sacred object of their piety
Because from it I get a point of view
That’s saving me from a stupidity
That others, judging by how they behave,
He might as well never have come to save.
