The mosquito whines
at me once more. Very well,
I will instruct you,
small one. Come, meditate on
the sound of one hand slapping.

2. Altered State

Having heard it once
the mosquito’s in no state
to hear it once more:
The answer to the famed koan
concerning one hand clapping.
