Far Away

Captain Nemo charts the sea
Inside his silver fish.
There’s none can tell where he may be,
Yet many of us wish
To leave our lives behind and sail,
As members of his crew
To seek the silkie and the whale,
At least we think we do.
The skies are dark, the wind is keen,
The waves are never still,
But Captain Nemo’s submarine
Obeys his iron will,
To boldly go and boldly go
And boldly go again
To lands that auks and griffins know
Beyond the haunts of men.

Clearly this has not been the case
