Dear Clive
Overheard in a Poetry Workshop
DEAR CLIVE,
We gentle readers dearly love
to tell you what we’re made up of:
kindness, hugs, a slice of sun,
the best intentions, (every one),
experience, serenity,
the wisdom that we all are one;
because of this we can’t help note
that in the course of stanza four,
your narrator has squashed a bug—
it’s sad to see you’re not like us,
you heartless pig, you fekking slug.
