Gisela Sophia Nittel: 14/2

14/2   I almost managed it this year almost forgot it was not quite thirty years ago we married in the Bombay Hills and how you loved to drop the name letting listeners think—India   how frequently you told the story of our meeting under Halley’s comet and married on St Valentine’s so you wouldn’t forget the date   I wonder if you have forgotten now more than ten years on and if the only woman on your mind this day is your latest Valentine   and if you’ve ever stopped mid-conversation   Gisela Sophia Nittel
