An apology to readers

quadrant computer system

This morning (May 15) Quadrant Online’s publishing system staggered, slumped and then went down for the count. Some of our reports and essays remained available, but readers attempting to open Jim Allan’s analysis of the Prime Minister’s latest polls were instead subjected to a ‘story not found’ message. What caused the failure — the publishing system’s, not the Prime Minister’s — remains a mystery, although a lot of house-cleaning in the dot-squiggly back end of this site appears to have fixed it. Fingers crossed that the repairs will stick.

One doesn’t like to rattle the cup, but the key to a better, more reliable website is in readers’ hands: subscriptions.

Please, if your enjoy Quadrant, if you value one of the few publications in this country that has not been colonised by the Left — indeed, which contests the prevailing dogmas ten times a year in print and every day online — take a subscription today.
