December’s Quadrant now on sale

December marks the start of the Australian media’s traditional “silly season, when news organs none to active at the best of times put curiosity firmly in the rack to celebrate the long, lazy days of doing not much at all. At Quadrant, it is business as usual — insight, analysis and reporting leavened with a mix of Les Murray’s poets, fiction and, this month in particular, a greatly expanded book-review section.
