Eye to Lizard Eye We sit I on my rock you on yours frozen in sunlight   I hold as still as you see fear throb in your neck under rubbery skin   Your bead eye stares at me I don’t blink I hold my breath You sense danger or death   Your ugliness clings to the rock casting an ominous shadow What do you see in me?
