Rupert Bombs in Melbourne

  ♦Rupert played at the Arts Centre Melbourne Playhouse from August 24 to September 28. ♦Savages played at fortyfivedownstairs from August 16 to September 8. Hay fever season is here and the election campaign is finally ending. Rows of flags at Melbourne Airport carry dismal green-tinged and unflattering images of Rupert Murdoch’s face. His features contort as the flags snap in the breeze. It’s not very cheerful advertising for Rupert, a new play by David Williamson for the Melbourne Theatre Company.
