In the face of the hysteria with which the “Stolen Generation” myth was rammed down our throats, why wouldn’t a nation accused of genocide recoil from any policy which might weaken any aspect of traditional culture? “Greater commitment is needed to bring about cultural changes”, Ms Jarrett tells us.
