The Basis of All Our Freedoms

 Many people find the idea of religious freedom confusing and even worrying. As Cardinal George Pell highlighted in Quadrant recently (January-February 2010), this includes the Australian Human Rights Commission, which has spent two years now puzzling over whether religious freedom is even “compatible” with human rights to begin with. The Commission was meant to publish its report earlier this year, but there is no sign of it yet.
